GREEN, Joanne L. - age 82, of Caseville, died April 7, 2021. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, April 12, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden, MI 48451. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Adopt A Pet Fenton (www.adoptapetfenton.com/) or The Devoted Barn (www.thedevotedbarn.org/). Joanne was born September 19, 1938 in Flint Township, the daughter of Edward and Amber (Benoit) Giffen. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse working in nursing up until she was 78 years old. Joanne loved family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, baking cheesecake, cooking lasagna, animals and the Detroit Red Wings and Tigers. Surviving are: four children, Elaine Green of Mundy Twp., Dennis Green (Tammy Schafer) of Flushing, Judy Green (Don Cocke) of Gaines, Scott (Amy) Green of Eden, NY; eight grandchildren, Nichole, Stephan, Christopher, Andrew (Eleesha), Lauren (Andrew), Tawnie, Jamie and Jayden; sister, Marie Heft of Fenton; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: two sons, Earl "Larry" Green and Leslie Green; grandson, Matthew Green. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
