RIEGLE, Betty Lucille (Fromwiller) – of Davison, MI, age 88, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 7 PM Friday, May 4, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Janice Duce officiating. Inurnment in Richfield Union Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 2-7 PM Friday, May 4, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County or the Michigan Lupus Foundation, in Betty’s memory.
Betty was born in Davison, MI on July 10, 1929, daughter of the late Glenn and Frances (Schweitzer) Fromwiller. She married Lynn Riegle on October 31, 1950 and he preceded her in death in 2002. Betty grew up on a farm and had a homemaker’s lifestyle. She mastered several skills including snowmobiling, motorcycling, crafting, and her favorite, Paint-By-Number pictures. She loved watching her grandchildren play and spoiled them whenever she could. Betty taught all of us to be strong, to work hard, to be loving and family minded.
Betty is survived by 2 children, Daniel (Carol) Riegle and Linda (Keith) Day; 3 grandchildren, Benjamin Riegle, Jaymie (Alfonso) Martinez and Mckenzie Riegle; 2 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Larry (Betty) Fromwiller, Leroy Fromwiller, Gordon (Nancy) Fromwiller and Ronnie (Nora) Fromwiller; sister, Delores Anderson; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by grandson, Joshua Riegle; sister, Glenadine Fromwiller; 3 brothers, Ralph (Ann), Rex and Elmer Fromwiller.
The family would like to recognize the special care performed by the staff at The Pines of Burton Memory Care South and Heart to Heart Hospice Care.
