WADLINGTON, Irving H. "Irv"- Age 70, of Durand, peacefully joined his son, Dwayne Weaver and his beloved mother, Edith in everlasting peace, Saturday, October 8, 2011. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 6273 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Chris Yager and Pastor Aaron Whitman officiating. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Monday from 6-9 PM, Tuesday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM and at church Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to Avalon Hospice. Mr. Wadlington served 8 years in the National Guard. He retired from GM Chevrolet Manufacturing after 31 years of service. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Irving is fondly remembered for his enthusiasm for life, strong faith and the joy he brought to many people thru his music. An accomplished pianist and singer; he played the piano for many years for the Calvarymen Quartet and a few years for the Grimshaws. He also sang and played whenever he had the opportunity in his home church Cornerstone Baptist Church. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, Betty; three daughters, Lena Edwards, Krista Weaver and Tammy Tocco; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one on the way and many many friends.
