Age: 51
Community: Bay City formerly of Davison, MI

Stacey Ann Wilcox, 51, of Bay City, formerly of Davison, our fierce, selfless, caring, loving, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and advocate passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 after a very courageous six year battle with breast cancer. Stacey was born on December 4, 1969 in Flint, the most loving daughter of William Wilkins and Sharon (Beaulieu) Gehringer. Stacey graduated from Davison High School, class of 1988. It was in high school Stacey happened to meet the love of her life, Michael A. Wilcox. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on May 5, 1990. Together they shared over 36 wonderful years together, three beautiful children, and countless memories. Stacey was a real estate agent in the Great Lakes Bay Area and a huge advocate for the fight against breast cancer. Stacey’s own fight, #StaceysFight, lasted almost six years; during those six years Stacey helped thousands of women from around the world fight their own battles with cancer. From offering support and guidance, organizing walks to raise money for the fight against cancer, to providing education and counseling to others fighting the disease. Stacey was truly selfless. During her own remission, Stacey would provide transportation for chemotherapy patients to get to their treatments. She was the recipient of many awards for her leadership in the fight against breast cancer; she was proudly honored by the American Cancer Society’s as “Michigan Woman of the Year” two years in a row. Stacey was in Chevrolet’s online commercial highlighting support and fund raising for the fight again breast cancer and was even interviewed by Fox Sports Detroit during a Detroit Red Wings Game during their campaign of Hockey Fights Cancer and was able to drop the puck at center ice. Stacey was a warrior in the truest sense, not just for herself, but for others as well. She was and still is an inspiration. Stacey was not only an inspiration to others, but she was an inspiration and light to her family and friends. Stacey was an amazing cake decorator and baker, something she learned from her mom and has passed on to her daughters. Her rice krispie recipe could not be matched! She absolutely loved being with her family, taking over 30 trips to Walt Disney World together, 16 trips to Vegas in the last three years, and going on vacation in Hawaii; snorkeling in Maui and ziplining over Jurassic Park was one of the top highlights of her life. Above all, spending time with her three grandchildren is where she loved to be, they were truly the lights of her life. Stacey’s selfless, caring, and resilient ways will live on in the hearts of all she has touched for years to come. Stacey leaves to carry on her legacy, her loving husband, Mike; their three children, Tiffany S. (Denis) DaSilva, Ashly N. Wilcox, and James M. Wilcox; her beloved grandchildren, Caleb J. DaSilva, Adam C. DaSilva, and Emma N. DaSilva. Stacey was the beloved daughter of William Wilkins and Sharon and Christopher Gehringer; she was the best sister to Tammy (James) Hancook, William (Jennifer) Wilkins, Dana Marie, Craig Wilkins, and Kyle Gehringer; daughter-in-law to Ray and Grace Wilcox; sister-in-law to Ray Wilcox, Jr., Roy (Dawn) Wilcox, and Diane (Scott) Stephens. She will also be missed dearly by her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
