DURANCE, Thomas Wayne – of Davison, MI, age 69, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held 3 PM Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Davison Missionary Church, 1481 North Gale Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Jason Crum officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 1-3 PM Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Davison Missionary Church.
Tom was born in Flint, MI on January 28, 1951, son of the late Clare Delbert and Eleanor Mae (McCarney) Durance. He married Nancy Ellen Creviston on July 28, 1974. Tom retired from General Motors on July 31, 2001 after 32 years of service. His passions in life were his family, hunting and spoiling his grandsons.
Tom is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Durance; daughter, Schellen (Greg) Kidd; 2 grandsons, Gavin Kidd and Ethan Kidd; 6 siblings, Bernice Carlson, Clare “Tike” Durance, Barbara (Ed) Currie, Jim (Rebecca) Durance, Phillip (Valerie) Durance, Norma (Chris) McLean; step-mother, Donnie Durance; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clare and Eleanor Durance; brother, Ed Durance; brother-in-law, Jerry Carlson and sister-in-law, Pam Stevens.
