CALCAGNO, MADELON A. – Of Flint, age 95, died Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2024 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Road, Flint,
Father Roy Horning officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Hurley Children’s Hospital.
Mrs. Calcagno will be at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the Mass.
Madelon was born in Flint, Michigan on June 2, 1928 in Flint, Michigan to the late John A. and Alice M. Thayer.
She lived in the Flint area all of her life.
She attended Flint Northern High School Class of 1946.
She was a longtime member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church and now Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
She married Herbert Chapelle on June 30, 1951 and he preceded her in death. She then married Jack Calcagno on May 29, 1971 and he preceded her in death.
Surviving her are many nieces and nephews and their families.
Special friend, Barbara Penebaker.
She was also preceded in death by her loving daughter, Monya Chapelle; 2 sisters, Marjorie Ryckman and Mary Danko; parents and grandparents.
