Age: 43
Community: Otisville, MI

Justin Bradly Miner, a man of adventure and boundless courage, passed unexpectedly on April 16, 2024, at the age of 43. Born on October 28, 1980, in Flint, Michigan, Justin's zest for life and his intelligent approach to every challenge he faced will be remembered by all who knew him.

Justin was a beloved son to his mother, Sue Miner. He was a cherished brother to Kevin (and wife Ann) Miner, William (and wife Kayanna) Miner, and Carrie Kamicka. The love he had for his family extended to his adored nieces and nephews: Mitch, Amber, Ben, Madison, Arik, Ava, Lily, Morgan, Aiden, Bela, and Vincent, who will carry the spirit of his teachings and the joy of his stories with them. Justin's life was enriched by the presence of many close friends who became an extended family to him. His father, Richard "Dick" Miner, and his grandparents preceded him in death, leaving a legacy of love and resilience that Justin carried forward.

A proud graduate of Lakeville High School in 1999, Justin's thirst for knowledge and passion for the environment led him to Michigan Technological University, where he furthered his education. His academic achievements were only the beginning of a life dedicated to learning and discovery.

Justin's life was marked by his dedication to the natural world. He was an active member of Friends of Oakdale Trail and Southern Thumb Area Mountain Bikes, contributing his time and energy to the causes he believed in. His work with these organizations reflected his commitment to community and his desire to make the outdoors accessible and enjoyable for all.

An avid outdoorsman, Justin's interests were as vast as the landscapes he explored. Biking, camping, hiking, skiing, and kayaking were not just hobbies but a way of life for him. His adventurous spirit led him to traverse paths less traveled, always with a sense of wonder and respect for nature.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Justin would describe him as adventurous, intelligent, and courageous. His adventurous nature was evident in his willingness to embark on new journeys, whether biking over hills or navigating rivers. Justin's legacy is not only in the memories he leaves behind but also in the impact he had on the world around him. He inspired others to embrace the beauty of the outdoors, to seek adventure, and to live life with a passion.
