PEPPIN, Marjorie Ann (Dompierre) – of Davison, age 87, passed away January 25, 2016 at her residence. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12:30 PM Friday, January 29, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski celebrant. Private entombment will be in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM on Thursday. There will be one hour of visitation in the chapel at church on Friday, prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for Masses or to St. John Building Fund.
Marjorie was born in Ishpeming, MI on March 8, 1928, daughter of the late Raoul and Eva (Hebert) Dompierre. She graduated from Ishpeming High School in 1946. Marjorie Dompierre married Paul Peppin on May 16, 1953 at St. Joseph Church in Ishpeming. She worked for St. Joseph Hospital and retired on September 30, 1983 as a LPN. They moved to Punta Gorda, Florida for 32 years before moving back to Davison. Marjorie belonged to Third Order of St. Francis. She enjoyed traveling and living in Florida. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family.
Marjorie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Paul; son, Gary (Lori) Peppin of Davison; daughter, Paula (Bruce) Krause of Lebanon, OH; foster son, Gregory (Linda) Saunders of Adrian, MI; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances Tonkin of St. George, UT and Elaine Powell of Otsego, MI; brother, Ronald Dompierre of Northfield, MN.
