Marc Isom was born August 22, 1963 in Albion, Michigan. He resided in Flint Township, Michigan. He was raised in Battle Creek, Michigan and attended Battle Creek Central High School he would spend a lot of time in Flint, Michigan helping his beloved grandparents. He attended Henry Ford College in Dearborn, Michigan studying what he loved, automotive technician. Before he became sick, he was a hardworking dependable employee at Android Industries in Flint, Michigan, DT Manufacturing Highland, Mi, He worked at Perry Mortuary who later changed their name to T.M. Hughes in Battle Creek, Michigan He has always desired to be a funeral director. He loved anything to do with cars especially detailing them which he paid strict attention to detail and he took pride in anything he did, grilling, cooking, fishing was his absolute favorite hobby, he enjoyed listening to jazz music, R rated rap (lol) , he always had a cigarette hanging out his mouth Kool Blu 100’s, talking crap on the phone with Albert and Dewayne, Casinos, Playing his lotteries, making sure his hairline was just so, had to be perfect he was all about his image wanted to look and smell good at all times. He cherished our many family fishing trips, keeping the yard immaculate, gardening and he had a green thumb. He kept our home in the most maintained beautiful condition and could fix and paint ANYTHING! He often shared childhood memories of when he had spent his summers in Flint, especially the fly in fishing trip he shared with his grandfather, and many other vacations he shared with his siblings and grandparents. He always wanted the chance to go back to Kentucky, but unforeseen circumstances made that dream impossible for him. Kentucky ran deep in his veins, but he was never able to go back once he got sick. He married Jajuanna Isom on 5/15/15 and together we were raising our 2 sons. He was an amazing, protective father who spoiled his boys to a fault. Spouse: Jajuanna R Isom 7 children in all 4 sons and 3 daughters: Ja’Marcus O’Dell Isom Ja’Michah Zaiden Mckenzie Isom both of Flint, Mi. Marc D Isom, Tyneisha Harris of Battle Creek, Mi. Zy’Airh Kemp of Albion, Mi. Camyle Isom of Tampa, Fl. Aliceia Banks Battle Creek, Mi. 4 stepchildren: Qwantez Bradley, Anushri Sharma, QuaVonte Bradley all of Flint, Mi Cecillia Godard of Lansing, Mi. 5 Grandchildren: Royal Lenton, Nyomi Godard of Lansing, Mi. Marcel and Malaya Isom of Battle Creek, Mi. A’zaylea Banks of Battle Creek, Mi. Parents: late James Isom Jr of Flint, Mi. and late Alma English Isom of Battle Creek, Mi. Grand Parents: James Isom Sr. and Stella Isom of Flint, Mi. Roosevelt and Narcissus Evans from Battle Creek, Mi., 1 sister Stella Marie Isom and 2 brother Dewayne (Faye) Isom All of Battle Creek, Mi. Dion (Lashawn) Parker of Las Vegas, NV. 2 nieces Kendra Cummings of Redford, Mi. Rosheena Isom who he lovingly referred to as his (Sheen-Sheen) of Battle Creek, Mi. 1 Nephew Isaiah (Sara) Cummings of Kalamazoo, Mi. Many cherished aunts, especially Betty Fullum of Columbus, Ohio Many loved uncles particularly his late uncle Bill Isom of Flint, Mi. and his late uncle, Chester English of Kalamazoo, Mi. Mother-in-law, late Jennie Stornello of Montrose, Mi., 1 Sister-in-law Angela Bradley of Swartz Creek, Mi. 1 brother-in-law Eddie (Mellisa) Bradley of Swartz Creek, MI, He had many cousins but a very special bond since childhood with Albert Tucker of Fulda Germany. A host of other relatives and friends including late Cornelius Brown (Corn), Melvin Bowser, Janice Witcher, Perry Family, Poole Family and especially his special father figure whom he named our son after the late Mr. O’Dell Boyce. He preceded in death by his parents James Isom Jr, Alma English Isom, grandparents, James Sr. and Stella Isom, Roosevelt and Narcissus Evans, nephew, baby Kenneth E. Cummings. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Shinichi Fukuhara M.D. from U of M hospital in Ann Arbor Mi who with the help of Jehovah God saved his life. The late Patty Isom, his cousin who was always a reliable true friend and always there in good or bad times when we needed her most, Hospice Nurses, Brittany, Joe, Amy and his CNA Teresa from Residential Hospice who was so caring and supportive, encouraging.
