FECKOVICS, Roger Stephen – age 84 of Flushing, MI passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his children on Sunday, January 17th.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 23rd from 10:00am – 10:30am with a Rosary at 10:30am, and funeral Mass at 11am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 400 N. Saginaw Street, Montrose, MI. Burial will take place at Flushing Cemetery following the funeral Mass. Masks and social distancing are required at the church and the cemetery. The Mass will be live streamed on the Good Shepherd Catholic Church Face Book page. Roger proudly served in the US Marine Corps. for three years. Upon returning from duty he met, and then married Rose Marie Masciarelli on August 5, 1961. They enjoyed almost 56 years of marriage. He retired from the City of Flint after 32 years of dedicated service.
He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, and enjoyed many hunting trips over the years with is father, sons, brother, nephews and cousins. He was a model train enthusiast and loved riding motorcycles. With no formal training he was quite the piano player.
He was an active member in the Knights of Columbus at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, and a member of the Sons of Italy, and the Loyal Order of Moose.
Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marie (Masciarelli). Surviving are his children Diane (Jon) Walker, Douglas (Imelda) Feckovics, Donna (Tim) Baroski, and Daniel (Beth) Feckovics; Grandchildren Alexander, Eric, Joseph, Courtnee, Douglas John Paul, William and Cecilia.
