Frances R. Lemon, 86, of Aledo, IL died Tuesday May 17, 2011 in her home. Graveside services are 2:00 PM Thursday in the Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM Thursday prior to services at the Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo where a memorial fund will be established. She was born February 5, 1925 in Marshall, MO. To John and Estella Colburn Connerley. She attended the Reynolds, Il High School and married Lyle D. Lemon June 19, 1941 in Kahoka, MO. He died December 11, 2010.
Frances was employed as a Certified Nurses Assistant at the Mercer County Hospital for many years retiring in 1981. She also assisted her husband in the operation of the L.D. Lemon Disposal Co. in Aledo for many years.
She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include 1 daughter Carol (Butch) King, 2 sons, Bob (Barb) Lemon and Charlie (Kathy Goodman) Lemon all of Aledo, IL. 4 granddaughters, Shelly (Marcus Lingafelter) Imler of Aledo, Kelly Jo (Brian) Preston of Taylor Ridge, Il, Valerie (John) Hacker of Hoffman Estates, Il Amy (Greg) Harris of Indianapolis, 1 grandson Mark (Kym) McCullough of Aledo, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, 3 brothers and 2 sisters preceded her in death
