COCHRANE, Dennis Dean – of Montrose, age 59, died Friday, July 20, 2018 at Mid Michigan Medical Center in Midland. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Montrose United Methodist Church in Montrose. Pastor Hal Phillips officiating. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM at the Montrose United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for a future Youth Memorial Fund.
Dennis was born July 31, 1958 in Clare, Michigan to Ora and Wanetta (Maier) Cochrane. He grew up in the Beaverton, Michigan area and graduated from Beaverton High School with the class of 1976. On May 21, 1977 he married Joanne E. Primm in Flint, Michigan. Prior to his retirement in 2006, he worked as an Engineer for Delphi for 30 years. He attended Montrose United Methodist Church. Dennis was a member of the Flint Bowman Club and also the ASHA Club. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and bow shooting. Dennis coached football, baseball and was an avid sports fan. He also started a youth group at the Montrose United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: Wife of 41 years Joanne; Children, Jennifer (Jason) Kahn, Jeremy (Jackie) Cochrane; Grandchildren, Lexie, Avery, Abbie, Emerson, Reese; Mother, Wanetta Cochrane; Siblings, Gilbert (Tina) Cochrane, Wadeana (Tim) Grimshaw; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ora Dean Cochrane, nephew, Robert Cochrane, grandparents, and his in laws, Jesse and Barbara Primm.
