Rowe, Gerald “Jerry” of Flushing, age 68, died Sunday, March 4, 2018, at the Cleveland Clinic. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Thursday, March 8, 2018, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Gordon Reigle will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Thursday at the church until the time of the Mass. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society or McLaren Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
Gerald was born in Flint, Michigan on March 12, 1949, the son of Murland and Maxine (Brown) Rowe and was a lifelong Flushing resident. He married Deborah Miller on July 30, 1988. Jerry worked for GM/Delphi, retiring after 37 years. He loved dancing was a member of the Great Lakes Swing Dance Club. Jerry also loved fishing and boating, traveling and spending summers at his cottage in Oscoda. He lived life to the fullest and fought so hard with unbelievable strength through his illnesses during the past 12 years.
Jerry is survived by his devoted wife, Deborah; loving brother, David Rowe; son, Randy Miller; grandsons, Justin and Brandon Miller; brother-in-laws, Gary Malin and Bill and wife Dana Vallaire; nephews, Todd Malin, Matthew Malin; beloved therapy dog, Cutter; best friends, Sandy DiMercurio, Kay Bigelow and Dave Breaugh, Atsuko Murphy; and many wonderful dance friends and high school classmates. He was preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law, Katherine and Bill Vallaire.
