STEFANIC, Charlene Ann (Paulsen) – of Davison, MI, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 22, 2026. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 3 PM Friday, February 6, 2026 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Justin Dean officiating. The family will receive visitors 2-3 PM Friday, February 6, 2026 at Allen Funeral Home.
Charlene was born in Flint, MI on June 3, 1935, daughter of the late Awalt and Rhoda (Nordstrom) Paulsen. Her life was one of quiet grace and enduring love. Charlene Paulsen married Gerald Stefanic on December 3, 1953. For 25 years, Charlene dedicated herself to her work at Hudson’s Department Store, where her kindness and reliability left a lasting impression. She found her greatest peace in simple joys—tending her flower beds with loving hands, savoring the pages of a good book, and patiently piecing together jigsaw puzzles, one piece at a time. These small, thoughtful moments reflected the beauty of her spirit. Charlene will be remembered for her gentle heart, her steadfast love, and the quiet beauty she brought into the lives of those who knew and loved her.
Charlene is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Gerald Stefanic; 3 children, David (Nancy) Stefanic, Dale (Elizabeth) Stefanic and Ann (Daniel) DeLand; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Awalt and Rhoda Paulsen; daughter and son-in-law, Susan (Louie) Murray; 3 siblings, Donna (Herbert) Zaiser, Charles (Sharon) Paulsen and Karen Kops.
The family extends their deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of WellBridge of Grand Blanc for the compassionate care given to our mother, and for the special friendships that brought comfort and light along her journey.
