HARDACRE, Maxine, age 98, of Grand Blanc, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Fenton Health Care. Funeral Services will be 4:00PM Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Visitation will be 11:00AM Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home. An Inurnment will take place at Crestwood Cemetery, Grand Blanc, at a later date.
Maxine was born to Robert and Kathryn Smith on September 1, 1915 in Mikado, MI. After attending high school and college in North Dakota, she headed west to California where in 1948 she met and married the love of her life Orry. They moved to Michigan in 1963, and then to Florida in 1990, where they resided until Orry’s death in 2001, Maxine then moved back to Michigan.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Michigan, especially Carrie, Jill, and Becky. They also thank the nurses and staff of Fenton Health Care.
Left to cherish her memory are children, Robert (Jane) Hardacre and Kathryn (Robert) Root; granddaughters, Julie (Brad) Gross, Angela (Jeff) Ferguson, Jennifer (Stan) MacMillan; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Brady, Dominick, Madison, and Mackenzie; sister, Mary Vanderport; numerous nieces and nephews and dear friend Lynn Hartley.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or charity of choice. Condolences may be left at www.hillfh.com
