Paul Sidney Neely {aka "The Bull"} the son of Kenneth and Carmen Neely was born December 28th, 1942 in Flint, Michigan. He was the second oldest of 5 boys.
Paul, was employed with General Motors {SPO} working multiple positions and retired in 2006 after 42 years of Service. Paul loved going to work and even after retirement, he always spoke about how he missed working and wished he could go back. Paul, and his wife Gladys of 45 years were members of Grace Emmanuel and Kingdom of Heaven Misistries.
Paul, was a graduate of Flint Southwestern, class of 1960. He was apart of the first graduating class in School History. He took great pride in playing all types of sports; Football being his absolute favorite. He was the starting running back and in the historic game in 1959, he drove the ball down the field to pull off a historic 6-0 win for the first year school as they beat Flint Northern. After making the game winning touchdown, he acquired the nickname "THE BULL."
Paul, Loved fitness, eating healthy and working out, however his greatest joy was his family and his dedicated wife, Gladys. He was also without a doubt, a die-hard Spartan Fan and enjoyed representing GREEN AND WHITE.
Paul S. Neely leaves to cherish his memory: Wife, Gladys Jean Neely of 45 years, 4 Sons; Paul Jr. and Leon Neely both of Dallas TX. Derek Neely, Corey {Dana} Neely of Flint, MI and his one and only daughter, Courtney Neely of Flint, MI. his baby brother, Leonard {Delois} Neely of Flint, MI. He also leaves to cherish, a host of Grandchildren and Great-Grand children. Special friends, his spartan buddy Arlen and his friend Carl.
Paul was preceded in death by his Father Kenneth R. Neely, his Mother Carmen T. Neely, brothers, Kenneth Jr., James, and Brad Neely.
The family would like to express special thanks to Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church, Kingdom of Heaven Ministries, and Ascension Hospice Care for their exceptional care and all the family and friends who have expressed their love and sympathy for the family in our time of grieving.
