SHAFER, Harold “Bud” – of Davison, MI, age 83, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Gerald Vander Hoek officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of the service on Sunday.

Harold was born in Davison, MI on January 11, 1938, son of the late Harold E. and Clara (Washburn) Shafer. He married Roberta Daniel on August 13, 1960. Harold achieved Eagle Scout in 1952 from the Free Methodist Church Troop #168. He was the Past Master of the Welfare Lodge #517. Harold worked 38 years at General Motors Metal Fab. He was a very active outdoors man, enjoying hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Harold is survived by his wife, Roberta; children, Wayne (Gretchen) Shafer, Shari (Dennis) Ferrante and Tracy (Bobbie) Shafer; grandchildren, Andrew (Chealse) Shafer, Jeffery (Caitlan) Ferrante, Casey (Justin) Dieck, Aaron Shafer and Emily Ferrante; siblings, Maxine McArthur, Larry (Linda) Shafer and Darlene Smith; and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by brother, Bob (Dorothy) Shafer, sister, Francis (Chuck) Skellenger, brother, Sherman Shafer, brother, Max (Alice) Shafer, sister, Shirley Shaffer, brother, Bruce (Shirley) Shafer, sister-in-law, Jackie Shafer, brother-in-law, Dale Daniel, sister-in-law, Carol Dipzinski.
