REITZ, Margaret D. – Of Flint, age 87, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Archbold Hospital in Thomasville, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at Eastwood United Methodist Church, 3312 Whittier Avenue, Flint, Pastor Ralph Pieper officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Eastwood United Methodist Church.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mrs. Reitz will be at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service.
Margaret was born in Standish, Michigan on December 3, 1926.
On August 27, 1948 she married Bernard Reitz in South Bend, Indiana.
She enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening. She was a member of Eastwood United Methodist Church, where she was very involved.
Surviving are children Max Reitz of Flint, Elaine and husband Larry Dennis of Florida, Tom Reitz of Flint, Jim and wife Julie Reitz of Harrison Township;
one grandson, Andy Dennis;
two step-grandchildren, Josh and Kara;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Bernard, on June 6, 2009.
