He was preceded in death by his son, William Dennis Bright; special grandmother, Della Allison; parents Marshall and Virginia Bright; Mother and Father in Law, Harold and Betty Muma; brothers: Vaughan, Alan, Robert, Avon, Mike, Ted, and Mark; Great Granddaughter, Ellie Ann Daniels.

He committed his life to his loving and caring wife, Beverly Jean Bright, who is survived. They were married on July 22, 1967. That love of 56 years lasted right to the end where they celebrated a vacation to Branson, Missouri just two weeks ago. They loved passionately, forgave easily, and never forgot to count their blessings. Their love taught us all that 3 a.m. coffee and sweet tea talks could quite possibly change the world, to always sacrifice for your partner, and to help your family out whenever and however you can.

Surviving are his son, Steven Bright; Daughter, Stacey Turner, and special son-in-law, Scott Turner. Grandchildren: Jennifer (Randy), Brittany (Danny) Wright, Courtney Bright, Caitlyn Bright, Claudia Bright, Morgan (Mason) DeMott, Alex (Hailey) Wilson, Samantha (Thomas) Waskiewicz, Taylor Turner, Justin (Caitlyn) Turner, and his greatest joys: His Great Grandchildren; Randy, Tricia, Emaleah, Bristol, Kiera, Kendall, Aiden, Natilee, Alexis, Cameron, Mecca, Levi, Everlee, Hudson, Finley, Mason, Madison, and Phoenix. He is survived by his sister Barbara (Robin) Wheaton and brother, Daniel Bright, Brothers/Sisters-in-law Kim Muma, Bill (Diana) Muma, Marla Muma, Tonya (Kevin) Venable, Stacy Dennis, and Janet Bright.

Denny attended Hamady High School and was hired into General Motors on September 19th, 1966 and retired in 1999. He loved to gamble whether it was the casino, slapping cards at the kitchen table with his brothers, or playing cards in the shop. He was nicknamed, “Shoes” because his lucky streak one night provided a new pair of shiny shoes. He treasured spending time around the kitchen table with loved ones, smoking cigarettes or drinking sweet tea. He especially loved wrestling, tormenting, and rough housing with Hudson and Levi.

He was tough as nails, but sweeter than his sweet tea. He stood tall and had a heart that was purer than most. He always ensured everyone around him knew they were loved, heard, and respected. He was a man of his word and believed in hard work, but most of all he believed in love, family, and living.

The dedication he provided to his loved ones will forever be his greatest legacy.

The family would like to especially thank Pastor Steve Turner who provided Denny comforting prayers and supportive visits over the last year, Chad with Home Therapy for his dedication to months of home physical therapy and someone who became a friend to Denny. Final thanks to Amara Hospice, specifically his nurse Keri Radde who provided him with such love, tenderness, and care and to his music therapist, Amarie Dotson who sang him to heaven and provided him such peace and comfort in his final minutes here on Earth
