SHOULTS, Helen Irene – Of Burton, age 86, died Thursday, March 21, 2019
at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jon Grimshaw officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Reverence Hospice.
Visitation 2-7 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2019 and 11 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Helen was born in Flint, Michigan on January 28, 1933, the daughter of the late Osmond and Dorothy (Rondeau) Smith.
On February 20, 1951, she married Felton Shoults.
She was a member of Victory Tabernacle in Flint.
She taught children in many churches for over 40 years. She loved all the little children just as Jesus did, and they loved Mrs. Shoults.
Helen’s love for her family was always first in her heart.
Surviving are husband, Pastor Felton Shoults;
daughters, Linda Evans, Carol and husband Bob Caldwell and Rose Hodgeson;
grandchildren, Scott Evans, Andrew Hodgeson, Jonathan Hodgeson and Rebekah Hodgeson;
great-grandchildren, Carsyn Evans, Felton Evans, Audrey Hodgeson and Willow Irene Hodgeson;
sister, Shirley O’Brian;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Ron Evans; grandson, Stephen Evans; siblings, Nancy Pappenfuss, Osmond “Skeet” Smith, Dale Smith and Leslie Smith.
