On July 23, 2021, Ted John Oliver, loving husband and father of three, passed at 85 surrounded by family. Ted was born in Mayville, Michigan on July 1, 1936, to Ted and Myrtle Oliver. Ted was married to Phyllis (Mullins) on June 30, 1962, for 59 years. Mr. Oliver proudly served four years in the United States Army, spending three years stationed in Germany. Ted was preceded in death by his son-in-law, William Weaver Jr. and his loyal dog, Abby. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Oliver and children: Darryl (Barb) Oliver, Denise (Darryl) Fink, and Monica Weaver. Ted had six grandchildren: Brad (Tosha) Fournier, Rachel (Matt) Strandberg, Amanda (Jon) Turner, Katelyn (Michael) Lanctot, Angel (Ryan) Lucia, and Allison Weaver. Ted had six great-grandchildren: Emma, Maverick, Connor, Layla, Hero, and Oliver.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. A graveside memorial with military honors will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. Bruce Sheridan will officiate. A light dinner will follow at the Deerfield Township Hall, 30 East Burnside Road, North Branch, MI 48461.
