Born in Port Huron, Michigan on November 21, 1936 to Kenneth and Marion Fawcett, Ken graduated from University of Michigan with a Doctorate in Medicine and earned a Master’s of Science degree from the University of Minnesota. Ken met and fell in love with his beloved Nancy Lee Moore; to whom he was married for over 60 years.

Ken was a devoted member of St. Christopher Episcopal Church of Grand Blanc, Michigan for over 30 years. He was passionate about shooting skeet and sporting clays and was a long-time member of the Detroit Gun Club and Grand Blanc Huntsman’s Club. He served as a Captain in the US Army and was a proud, lifetime member of the Port Huron Lodge #58 Free and Accepted Masons. He also enjoyed attending many of Nancy Lee’s singing engagements as a shared interest.

He had several great loves and together with his first love and “fearless leader” Nancy Lee, they raised three boys and entertained their five grandchildren every summer at “Camp Nana-Papa.” He greatly enjoyed spending time with the grandkids with regular trips to the bookstore helping to instill his love for reading in each of them, blending these two loves. More recently his joys included sitting in the sunshine with a book and “solving the world’s problems.“

Ken is survived by his three sons Kenneth Jr and his wife Claire, Gregory and his wife Lisa, and Jeffrey Allan and his wife Laura. He is further survived by his grandchildren Paige Fawcett Hayden, Hannah Fawcett Boatright, Amanda Lynn Fawcett, Nicholas Moore Fawcett, Kenneth Charles Fawcett and his great grandson Dashel Jonathan Hayden. He is also survived by his sister Mary Fawcett Whybrew.

Ken was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Lee, parents Kenneth and Marion Fawcett as well as his sister Sheila Fawcett Oles.
