Rosencrantz, Richard Floyd of Davison, formerly of California, and Flushing, died Monday, May 11, 2026, at Henry Ford Genesys. Per his wishes, cremation will take place and no service will be held.
Richard was born in Flushing, Michigan on November 29, 1942, the son of Floyd and Anne (Mosey) Rosencrantz. Richard attended Flint Junior College and then Michigan State University. He attended the Culinary Institute of Connecticut. His job in restaurant management brought him to California where he would spend almost 60 years. He enjoyed the California life of dining out, window shopping and loved going to the beach. Richard was an avid swimmer.
Richard is survived by his sister, Shirley (Roy) Wisenbaugh; dear friend and caregiver, Erick Flamenco; nephews, Michael (Cindy) Badder, Jon (Tonya) Badder, David (Kim) Rosencrantz, Robert Rosencrantz, Jamie (Kerine) Rosencrantz, Corey (Stephanie) Rosencrantz; several step-nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and good friend, Erik Mollegard. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Rosencrantz.
