Darlene Fay Reynolds, age 70, of Mt. Morris, died Sunday, December 10, 2017, at her home. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, December 16, 2017, at the Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris; with burial to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Darlene’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm; Friday, from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm, and on Saturday, from 9:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am.
Darlene was born February 18, 1947, in Flint, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jay and Evelyn (Streu) Warner. She married Jerald Reynolds August 8, 1967, in Flint. She graduated from Beecher High School with the class of 1965. She worked for A/C Spark Plug as a secretary for 10 years, until her retirement to begin raising her children. In her free time, Darlene enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s ball games, playing cards, and spending time with her sister doing arts & crafts.
Left to cherish her memory husband of 50 years, Jerald Reynolds; two sons: Darren (Cindy) Reynolds, and Matt (Cheryl Sandusky) Reynolds; eight grandchildren: Nicholous (Brittney) Atkeson, Holly (Frank Kennedy) Ostrom, Stephen (Emily) Reynolds, Danielle (D.J. Cannoy) Reynolds, Ashley (Jacob Roberts) Reynolds, David Parks, Brandon (Sophia Romain) Ferrara, Allison Reynolds, and Angelina Geary; six great-grandchildren: Suvanna Atkeson, Calleigh Reynolds, Madison Kennedy, Angelique Atkeson, Nicholous Atkeson, Jr., and Isaiah Atkeson; two brothers: Calvin (Joan) Warner, and Melvin (Carol) Warner; and many other family members and friends.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, sister JoAnn Edwards, and grandson Alec Geary.
Darlene’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Reverence Hospice and to Wendy Hecko for their wonderful care and compassion.
