MINTO, Pauline Elizabeth (Maschino) – of Davison, MI, age 93, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021 at her residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 PM Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 3-8 PM Monday, July 26, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 11 AM-12 PM Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 6 PM Monday, July 26, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Pauline was born in Davison, MI on January 9, 1928, daughter of the late William and Lucille (Westgate) Maschino. She married Garald “Gab” Minto on June 27, 1953 and he preceded her in death on April 9, 2001. Pauline was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Davison American Legion Auxiliary Post #267. She was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1946, and along with her husband, was one of the four founding couples of Davison Country Club and Davison Athletic Club. Pauline enjoyed baking and she especially loved sharing her baked goods. Her favorite place in the world was the family cottage at Higgins Lake and being there with her family.
Pauline is survived by son, Gary (Debbie) Minto; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Minto, Cheryl (Travis) Buhl and Melissa Minto; seven great-grandchildren, Chloe, Blake, Angela, Gabriella, Trenten, Grant and Drew; sister, Gerry Carlson; sisters-in-law, Alice Stefanko, Marilyn Minto and Joanne Minto; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lucille Maschino; husband, Garald “Gab” Minto; grandson, Andrew Minto; twin sister, Norine LaLonde; three sisters, Mary Miles, Helen Toles and Evelyn Grimes; a host of brothers and sisters-in-law.
