SPRINGSTEEN, Donald Lee – of Davison, age 82, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at McLaren – Flint. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Donald was born in Flushing, MI on March 20, 1939, son of the late Elmer and Dorothy (Smith) Springsteen. He attended Kearsley High School, graduating in 1957. Donald married Gerry Martin on June 20, 1964. Donald proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. He worked for the CXS Railroad for 39 years, retiring in 1999. Donald loved golfing, hunting, fishing, bowling, watching football, baseball and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Gerry; brother, Wayne (Sue) Springsteen; sister, Carol Herrick; friend, Bob; sister-in-law, Mary (Roger) Starking; grandson, Jared (Jeni); great-granddaughter, Charlene Starfire; many nieces and nephews; family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Donnie on October 16, 2013.
