Buffa, Gaetano (known by many as Guy), of Flint age 91 died November 11, 2018 at approximately 130pm EST. A memorial service will be 11am, Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at The Freedom Center, 2473 W. Shiawassee Ave, Fenton. A military graveside service will be held 10 am, Monday, Dec. 3, 2018 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI. Guy served in World War II as MOMM3 USN, a Motor Machinist Mate in the United States Navy CBMU 597. Guy was in the United States Naval Construction Battalions, better known as the Seabees. Guy was very involved in The Boy Scouts of America. After retiring from Selling Insurance as a Deputy of the Independent Order of Foresters, Guy spent his time as a Licensed Repairman doing Heating and Cooling. He enjoyed camping & was a long time member of The Flintstones Camping Club. He is survived by children: Gary (Anne) Francisco, Elnora (Randy) Thayer, Betty Buffa, Randy (Wanda) Buffa, Gaetano (Renee) Buffa II, step daughter June H. Urdy, & many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, & nephews. Guy was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Mildred, son Ronald Buffa, brothers Leo, Andy, Joe, Sam, and Pete, sisters Rosemary Booth and Anita Smith, and Son-in-Law Steven Urdy. |
