Bleck, Anita M. of Flushing, age 70, joined her Savior and her daughter, Melissa in Heaven on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Rev. Clifford Bira will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Thursday at the church until the time of the service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Anita was born in Flint, Michigan on October 5, 1948, the daughter of Neal and Eva (Duke) Bone. She married Phillip Bleck in Flint on August 10, 1969. As a woman of great faith, Anita was an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She taught and was also a member of the Bible Study Fellowship, a coordinator for Vacation Bible School, adult Sunday School Teacher, and Senior Youth Group. She was a former PTO President, Girl Scout Leader and softball coach and always remained involved with her daughters. Anita was a wonderful hostess who enjoyed family gatherings and was an amazing cook. As a sailor’s widow, she enjoyed tending her yard, especially her flower beds.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Phill; daughter, Laura and husband Eric Pigott; grandchildren, Brooke Jeries, Luke Jeries, Dalton Summerfield, London Pigott, Roman Pigott; sister, Brenda Lawson-Anthony; nieces and nephews, Brandon and wife Kate, Brent, Lauren and husband Tim; great-nieces and nephews, Kennedy, Drake, Kayleigh, and Logan. Anita was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa and her parents.
