Age 81, of Clio, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2025, at home with family by her side. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Paula’s tribute wall at martinfuneralhome.com.
Paula Marilyn Zecchini was born on May 6, 1944, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Orr and Gertrude (Dowde) Holmes. She graduated from Swartz Creek High School in 1962. Shortly after graduating, Paula met, fell in love with, and married the love of her life, Steve Zecchini Jr. on October 14, 1962. The two were blessed with four children that Paula cherished deeply. Sadly, Steve would precede Paula in passing in 2015. Paula worked many different jobs, ranging from factory work, to retail. Most notably, Paula worked at the Fair Store in Flint, Michigan for a few years before beginning work at News America, where she would work from 2005 until her well-earned retirement in 2020.
In her free time, Paula loved bird watching. Additionally, she had a great pride for bowling. She was a part of many leagues and enjoyed traveling with friends in her leagues to various competitions. Most of all, Paula loved getting together with her family and creating new memories with her loved ones.
Left to cherish her memory are her four children: Tommy Zecchini, Steven Zecchini, Kris Zecchini, Roxanna Rogers; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Paula was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years: Steve Zecchini Jr.; her parents: Orr and Gertrude Holmes; her two brothers: Larry Holmes, Orr Holmes; and her son-in-law: Leonard Rogers Jr. |
