Charlie was born on February 18, 1924 in Big Stone Gap, VA., the son of John Floyd andBertle (Bishop) Orr.

One of the most important things in Charlie's life, was spending time with his family.

Orr; his grandchildren, David and Jen Renfer and their children Nick, Jake and Kyle; Shane Renfer and Betsy Myers and their son Orren, Bethany and Matt Flechter and their son Elijah and soon to be born daughter Amelia, Debra and Matt Pendell and their children Maggie and Charlie and J. C. Orr; his brother, Donald M. (Ruth) Orr and his long time companion and best friend, Carrie Graham. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
After more than 50 years of marriage, Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, the former Etheleen Cribbs. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth Orr Wilson, James R. Orr, Cecil E. Orr, Jackie Orr, Richard Orr and Anna Fay (Orr) Foster as well as his daughter in law Linda Orr.
