ADSIT, NORMAN L.- Of Grand Blanc, age 94, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Henry Ford of Rochester.
Funeral service will be held at 12pm Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at 11am Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Norm was born on February 20, 1932, in Redfield, New York, the son of the late C. Lee and Anna (Balcom) Adsit.
He married Arlene Bridgewater on January 30, 1954 in Sebewaing, Michigan and spent 72 wonderful years together.
Norm was an avid golfer and a huge U of M sports fan.
He enjoyed spending time in northern Michigan with his family and deer hunting with his friends.
Norm earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from U of M Ann Arbor.
Norm retired from GM after more than 30 years of service. He served his country in the US Army.
He is survived by his wife Arlene; children Linda and husband Paul Tyckoski, Robert Adsit, Susan and husband Tobin Conley and Jason and wife Heather Adsit; grandchildren, Alex Tyckoski, Spencer Conley, Marah Kobrin, Stella Adsit, Jackson Kobrin, Ronan Adsit and Lee Adsit and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Lou Sprague and brother-in-law Peter Sprague.
