HEALY, Larry V. – of Davison, age 66, passed away February 25, 2018 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 7 PM Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Mark Melillo officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 12-2 & 4-7 PM Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Humane Society of Genesee County.
Larry was born in Flint, MI on October 20, 1951, son of the late Myron and Bernice (Montney) Healy. He was a Snap-on dealer. Larry was the fixer of everything, a salesman that didn’t have to sell, his personality sold the tools. Larry made friends, not customers. He was a therapist, counselor, arbitrator and solver of problems. The dogs he saw each week on his route loved him as much as his friends, they knew when the Snap-on truck was pulling in and they were at the door waiting for their treat. Larry was a lover of all animals and he was not beyond picking strays up on the side of the road and bringing them home.
Larry leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Charm Healy; brother, Doug (Karen) Healy; sister-in-law, Marianne Eister; brother-in-law, Gerry Eister; many dear nieces and nephews, Todd, Scott and Barry Healy, Kelli (Chris) Byaum, Jordan (Shannon) Layman, M’Caul Layman, Jason Manning, Shelly (James) Doherty, Jarrod (Megan) Eister, Brandon Eister; special friends, Dennis Stacy, Darwin Burks, Ed Henderson, Steve Lund, Jim Barton and Fred Jackson; many other friends who checked on him weekly to boost his spirits and wish him well. He never lost hope, but he lost the battle.
