Donna Louise (Day) Stout went home to be with God on June 30, 2018 at Abbey Park in Grand Blanc, MI formerly of Burton. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Hill Funeral Home – 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, MI with one hour of visitation prior to the service with Pastor Paul Ytterock officiating. Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Hill Funeral Home. Donna was born on August 12, 1923 in Grand Blanc, MI to the late Homer and Iva (Davidson) Day. She graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1941. Then went to CMU, and worked for Northwest Airlines as a reservation agent in Chicago and in payroll at the Buick plant in Lansing. Donna married Ernest J. Stout on December 19, 1947 at Oak Park Methodist Church in Flint. They were married for 59 years until his passing in 2006. She spent her summers at a family cabin at Sand Lake and then at their cabin at Central Lake. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church in Burton, and then St. Andrews of Davison. She loved spending time with her family and friends playing cards, and swimming. Other hobbies were making quilts, traveling, cooking, and sewing. Although she is not with us her memory lives on with her surviving 2 daughters, Linda (Thomas) Willson and Gail (William) Howard, and daughter-in-law, Mary Stout. Eight grandchildren: Alex and Katie Willson, Curtis (Jennifer) Howard, Chadwick (Melia) Howard, Brandon (MaryAnn) Howard, Randall (Kate) Howard, Elizabeth Stout, and Mellissa Stout. Six great-grandchildren: Julia and Claire Howard, Everlette and London Howard, and Logan and Lily Howard and one due in September. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest J. Stout; son, Lee W. Stout; two sisters, Mary (Edward) Zahn, and Ruth (Gene) Hansen; brother, E. William Day. The family would like to send a special thank you to the Med Team at Abbey Park for their loving care and support.
