Ferguson, Marcia Willa of Swartz Creek, age 93, went to be with the Lord on Monday June 15, 2026.
Marcia was born in Flint on August 30,1932. On August 9,1952 Marcia married the love of her life, Edmund W, Ferguson. They were married for 68 years and had three children.
Marcia loved to knit baby blankets and crochet, but her greatest joy was her family and children. She loved spending time at Beaver Lake during the summer months.
She retired from Genesee Intermediate School District and was a member of Grand Blanc United Methodist Church.
Surviving is daughter, Sharon (Bill) Mortimer and daughter-in-law Karen Ferguson as well as 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Marcia was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Ferguson (5/8/2021): her sons Harold Ferguson (8/4/2024) and Bruce Ferguson (9/19/2019): daughter-in-law Holly Ferguson (12/22/1990) grandson, Zachary Ferguson (7/31/2024): sister, Darla Lewis, and parents Harold and Elizabeth Gillies.
Marcia’s peaceful transition to her Heavenly home was made possible through the compassionate care provided by The Medical Team-Hospice.
The family would also like to extend special thanks to her granddaughter, Stephanie Heyworth, for her loving care and devotion.
A Memorial Service will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Medical Team-Hospice of Genesee County or Grand Blanc United Methodist Church.
