Nancy Marguerite Conklin
Age 86 of Corunna passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at McLaren Hospital in Flint.
A memorial service will be held 1pm Monday, March 17, 2014 at Juddville United Methodist Church with Pastor Danny Bledsoe officiating. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 8pm.
Nancy was born May 10, 1927 in Owensboro, Kentucky, the daughter of George and Esther (Stone) Lay.
She graduated from Flushing High School, class of 1945 and married Bruce Howard Conklin in Flushing on August 30, 1947.
Nancy was an active member of Juddville United Methodist Church and Women’s Club and a member of the Extension Club along with serving on the Shiawassee County Fair Board for many years.
She had been employed through the years at various company’s including Julie K’s and Consumers Energy.
Nancy is survived by her husband Bruce; sons Dave (Donna) Conklin, Dan (Janis) Conklin and Kurt (Barbara) Conklin; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Merri Lay.
She was predeceased by her parents and brothers Jim and George Lay.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Juddville United Methodist Church or Shiawassee County Fair Grounds.
