STAMM, Gilbert R. – Of Mt. Morris, age 68, died Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Steve Wood
officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the family.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
A memorial service will be conducted by the Greater Flint Bowling Hall of Fame at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Gilbert was born in Madison County, Illinois on February 11, 1950, the son of the late Richard and Mary (Brown)Stamm and was a resident of Mt. Morris.
On May 27, 1978 he married Kathleen Pray at Calvary Lutheran Church and she preceded him in death on March 9, 2017.
He was an avid bowler and was a member of Greater Flint Bowling Hall of Fame, enjoyed golfing and was a volunteer at Crossroads Village.
He loved his children and grandchildren dearly and dog, Cody.
Surviving are son, Dean (Jennifer) Bond;
daughter, Krista Stamm;
grandchildren, Autumn, Savannah and Logan;
brother, John (YeCha).
He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers and one sister.
