James "Jim" Call Civille
Age 88 of Owosso, Michigan, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026.
Funeral services will be held at 6pm on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Nelson-House Funeral Home. Fr. Paul Burnell will be officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 12pm until the time of service.
James was born on January 24, 1938, in Nelsonville, Ohio, to the late John and Catherine (Call) Civille.
He graduated from Nelsonville High School and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Ohio University. Following his education, he proudly served his country in the United States Army.
A dedicated community member, James was an active participant in the Owosso Country Club, Kiwanis Club, and Elks Club. He had a passion for life-enjoying activities such as golfing, fishing, and hunting. As a snowbird, he cherished spending winters in Florida, creating lasting memories with family and friends there. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who loved his family deeply. Especially his grandchildren.
Jim married the love of his life, Cindy Greenhoe, in Owosso on August 21, 1987. Together, they shared a wonderful life.
He owned his own insurance agency as well as his own Real Estate Agency.
In addition to his beloved wife, James is survived by his three children: James Civille, Brian Civille, and Catherine "Katie" Civille. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Laura Civille, Patrick Civille, Olivia Civille, Timothy ONeil, and Kailo ONeil.
James was predeceased by his parents, John and Catherine Civille.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shiawassee Humane-Society. |
