ROBSON, Herman S. “Shorty” – of Clio, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 21, 2015. He was 65 years of age. Funeral services will be held 12PM Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Clio. Pastor Darrell Manning officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio Friday from 2-8PM and at the church on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service at 12PM. Contributions may be made to Carriage Town Ministries.
Herman was born September 10, 1950 in Kyoto, Japan to Herman and Laperta (Baldwin) Robson. He married Patricia Hudson November 8, 1969 in Mt. Morris. Mr. Robson had a 30 year distinguished career with the Mt. Morris Township Police Department. He retired in 2000 with the rank of lieutenant. Herman attended Judson Baptist Church in Prescott and is a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Clio. He was also a member of the NRA. Herman enjoyed riding his motorcycle, drag racing, fishing, traveling, playing pool and softball. Above all, Herman loved spending time with his family and was a wonderful husband, father and friend. He was a kind, loving and generous soul who was always available to help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed.
Surviving are: Wife, Patricia Robson of Clio; Son, Herman R. Robson of New Orleans; Daughter, Angela (Michael) Thygesen of Clio; 6 grandchildren: Skylar Robson, Shaley Long, Tristan Robson, Taylor Robson, Hunter Duncan and Trisha Long; 1 great-granddaughter, Emma Robson; Mother, Laperta Robson; Brothers in law: Ted (Madelon) Tolson and Luke (Betty) Lucas; Many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
