KEELER, Helen Marie - Of Flint, formerly of Lake George, MI, age 95, died Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton,
Father Carl Simon officiating.
Burial in St. Athanasius Cemetery at a later date.
Contributions may be made to St. Athanasius Catholic Church.
Visitation 4-8pm Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Scripture Service will be held 7pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Saturday at church until the time of the Mass.
Helen was born in Gladwin, Michigan on December 17, 1922, the daughter of the late William and Louvina (Hewitt) Flynn. On July 22, 1950, she married Harold Keeler in Flint. Helen worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Flint and Clare Hospital in Clare She was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church where she was involved in Christian Services. Helen loved traveling, bowling, playing cards, volunteering and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She celebrated her Irish and Catholic Heritage.
Surviving are children, Karen and husband Richard Chadwick, Kevin and wife Margaret Keeler, Keith and wife Brenda Keeler, Bridget and husband George Cooper, and Brian Keeler;
grandchildren, Ben, Matt, Zach, Anna, Alex, Katherine and Sara;
sister, Barbara and husband Jim Brophy;
numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, son, Martin and granddaughter, Amber Cooper.
