COLBY, Geraldine Elaine – of Houghton Lake, Michigan formerly of Montrose, Michigan, age 94, died Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at her residence in Ruskin, Florida. Honoring Geraldine’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 21, 2025 at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose, Michigan. Greg McKay officiating. Inurnment will take place at Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
Geraldine was born April 18, 1930 in St Charles, Michigan to the late Joseph and Amelia (Prueter) Dixon. She grew up in Saginaw, Michigan and graduated from Saginaw High School with the class of 1947. On January 28, 1948 she married Robert D. Colby in Saginaw, Michigan and he preceded her in death. Geraldine and her husband Robert owned and operated the Village Lanes Bowling Alley in Montrose, Michigan for several years. However, her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children, John (Sharon) Colby, Robert (Reann) Colby, Jr., Barbara (Scott) Smith; Grandchildren, Angela (Tom) Zarrogoza, Roger (Alicia) Ledford, Ashlie (Greg) McKay, Joe (Ari) Ledford, John Ledford, Andy (Taylor) Smith, Robert (McKenna) Colby III, Megan (Tony) Liddell, Daniel Schussier, Taylor (Aniel) Baez, Allie (Noah) Reed, Shannon (Tim) Brosseit, Ryan Barry, Kyle (Ashleigh) Colby, Konnor (Aaron) Steinley; Great Grandchildren, Lauren, Ayla, Jaiden, Owen, Jaxen, Tollin, Mya, Dodge, London, Finnegan, Linkin, Avanelle, Colbie, Camden, Bryce, Mack, Kepa, Brenna (Cody), McKenzie (Joshua), Colton, Mitchell, Elyanah, Elias, Luca; Great-Great Grandchildren, Blake, Noah, Asher.
