Lloyd R. Fayling died on July 26, 2015, at age 71. He was born in South Bend, Indiana, on December 14, 1943 to Lloyd R.C. and Elza E. Fayling of Augusta, Michigan. He served the Michigan State Police from 1966 to 1995. From 1972 to his death, he directed one of the largest central dispatch centers in Michigan.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Leslie; three sons, Lloyd R. Clinton, William Blake (Lara), and Brandon Joseph Dewitt; one granddaughter, Grace; four siblings, William (Jerry) Fayling, Valerie Claspell, Melanie Fayling, and Christopher Fayling; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents, Sue Lynn Fosmoen (sister), and Andrew Fayling (nephew).
Visitation is on Thursday, July 30, 2015 2pm–8pm at Nelson-House Funeral Home, 120 E. Mason St., Owosso, MI 48867.
Funeral is on Friday, July 31, 2015 11am at United Methodist Church, 1500 N. Water St., Owosso, MI 48867. Reception on premise thereafter.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions to the March of Dimes.
