Horton-Wright, Barbara A. age 73, of Burton, Michigan, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
Barbara lived a life rooted in steadfast faith, unconditional love, and deep devotion to her family. A woman of strong Christian faith, Barb loved with a big heart, and was exceptionally caring to all those she met. Her warmth, strength, and welcoming spirit left a lasting mark on every life she touched. Barb was married to the love of her life Paul Wright, and together they built a beautiful life and shared 31 cherished years of marriage.
Above all else, Barb’s greatest joy in life was being a "Mimi" to her beloved grandchildren. Her face lit up in their presence, and she poured endless adoration, comfort, and wisdom into each of their lives.
Barb is survived by her loving husband, Paul Wright;
her children, John (Chelsea) Horton, Adam (Candace) Horton, and Retha Horton;
her adored grandchildren, Abiageal, Gwendylan, Penelope, Lennox, Ember, and Wade;
her brothers, Pete Smith and Bruce Smith;
her sisters, Kathy Smith-Davidson and Rosemary Rollyson;
as well as many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Robert and Retha Smith, and her Brothers Ken and Karl (Smitty).
Funeral service will be held at 1pm Monday, August 3, 2026 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Visitation 11am Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
