Sarah Ann Deck age 44 of Durand, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 19, 2019 surrounded by her family at home. A memorial service will take place at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel. Pastor Ray Strawser will officiate. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 2-6 PM and one hour prior to the service.
Sarah was born in Lansing, MI to Bruce Morgan and Mary Scully on October 24, 1974. On February 13, 2009 she married David Deck. Sarah had a passion for helping people. This showed in her work as a mental health professional in the Lansing area. She enjoyed drawing, watching birds at the feeders, visiting Manistee, MI and Savannah, GA and spending time with family and friends.
Sarah leaves behind her husband, David Deck; daughter, Vivian Alward; stepchildren, Austin (Alexis) Deck and David Deck II; granddaughter, Allie Deck; soon to be grandson, Maachi; father, Bruce Morgan; stepmother, Holly Morgan; siblings, Scott Morgan, Chris Morgan, Shannon Hill and Ryan Hill; special friends, Teesa Kuipers, Terry Gorden and Larry Pierce; in-laws, Carol and Edward Sharoian, William Deck, Wendy and Vince Browe, Tony Sharoian, Michelle (Dale) Eagling; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Scully; maternal grandparents, John and Vivian Scully and paternal grandparents.
