PIORKOWSKI, Norma Jean “Joanne” – of Burton, age 88, passed away Friday, July 24, 2020, surrounded by her family. A Private Service will be held. Burial will take place in St. John Catholic Cemetery.
Joanne was born in Flint, MI on April 23, 1932, the daughter of the late Herbert and Wanda (Cooper) Taylor. She worked at AC Sparkplug for many years. She married Zigmond Piorkowski on May 17, 1952 and he preceded her in death on March 16, 2002. Joanne loved to read and enjoyed working with her husband for the Knights of Columbus. Her grandchildren were the love of her life.
She is survived by her children, Steven (Karen) of Burton; daughter, Rhonda (Brian) Coulter of Burton; grandchildren, Keeley Piorkowski, Crystal (Billy) Golden and Steven II (Kristy) Piorkowski, Bronya Eashoo and Carson Coulter; great-grandchildren, Zackary Zapata, Hailey Piorkowski, Avery Horton, Gaige Elrod, Kayla Elrod, Kylie Elrod, Gemma Piorkowski and Weston Gardner; sister, Paula (Joe) Shippritt; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Nick Eashoo.
