Marilyn Jean Gearing, age 87 of Grand Blanc passed away at home on Tuesday, August 4, 2020. She was born on August 22, 1932 to Julius and Anna Bredahl in Gladstone, Michigan.
Marilyn graduated from high school in 1949 in Gladstone, Michigan. In 1956, she married her husband Milton “Jack” Gearing to whom she remained married to for 55 years before his passing. Marilyn was a high school counselor and worked in education for 28 years before retiring in 1994 from Durand High School. She was an avid reader, photographer, and she loved sewing. Her family will also remember her for excellent cooking.
She is survived by her children: John, Thomas, Evan (Eileen) and Elizabeth. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Marguerite “Mimi” Gearing.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Milton “Jack” Gearing and her sisters: Marie, Elizabeth and Barbara.
There will be a private graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery.
