PANEK, Joyce Ann. - of Clio, age 77, died Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at her residence. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial in memory of Joyce will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
Joyce was born April 30, 1940 in Alma, Michigan to the late Basil and Pearl (Beach) Beck. She graduated from Montrose High School in 1958. Joyce married Charles B. Panek on June 21, 1958. He preceded her in death April 10, 2007. She was employed with AVI food service through Buick for many years. Joyce also worked at Van Winkle in Caro for many years. She was an avid reader, good cook and best pie maker. Joyce enjoyed shopping in thrift stores, and crocheting. Above all, she loved spending time with her children, and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are: Children: Kenneth (Brenda) Panek, David Panek (Diane), Brian Panek, Kevin (Kathy) Panek, Cathy (Tim) Gregory, and Randy Panek (Sherry); 16 grandchildren; Many great grandchildren; Brothers: John (Kitty) McNeill, Robert “Dean” (Marilyn) McNeill, Dennis (Sharon) McNeill; Sister in law, Bernice McNeill; Lifelong companion of over 30 years, Gillis Christian; Forever friend, Katherine Slade, and many dear Panek family in laws.
