WILLIAMSON, Janeth O. - Of Grand Blanc, age 91, died Monday, May 17, 2021 at Grand Blanc Fields.
At her request, a graveside service will be held at Crestwood Cemetery in Grand Blanc, on June 12, 2021 at 12 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Grand Blanc Humane Society.
Janeth Williamson was born on March 7, 1930 in Constantine, Michigan to Howard and Olga Berry.
In 1951 she graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Education, where she was a founding member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Also in 1951, she married Richard Williamson. After college, she went on to teach second grade in Flint, Michigan.
Janeth was a true Michigander at heart. She enjoyed light houses and Michigan Sports. When she wasn’t rooting for the Broncos she was cheering for the Tigers, Pistons, Lions, MSU, and U of M.
In addition to her love for sports, Janeth enjoyed being the family historian and sharing her immense knowledge of Michigan history with her family. She also loved reading, sewing, bird watching, gardening and made the best chocolate chip cookies in the state.
Janeth is survived by her son, Brian Williamson;
granddaughters, Shelby (Justin) Brown and Amanda (Chad Taylor) Williamson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard and son, Mark.
