Corder, James Leroy "Jim"- Age 86, of Flint, passed away June 27, 2026. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Homes, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek with his son, Deacon Jim Corder officiating. A committal service will be held at 2:30 PM at Great Lakes National Cemetery . Visitation will be held 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday and from 12:00 - 1:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. James was born November 21, 1939, in Flint, Michigan, the son of James L. and Gladys (Root) Corder. James was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Jane Moore on April 6, 1963, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. James owned and operated Corder Construction for 45 years. Surviving are: wife, Jane Corder; three children, Deacon Jim (Terri) Corder, Julie (Steve) Pobocik, and Jill (Jason) Melancon; seven grandchildren, Tim (Kyli) Corder, Jeff Corder, Tyler (Riley) Pobocik, Lindsey (Dom) Saigh, Makenna Pobocik, Ethan and Ella Melancon; seven great-grandchildren, Graison, Claire, Jameson, Lyla, Reyna, Roman, and Beau; three sisters, Carol Jones, Marilyn (Bill) Hart, and Connie (Brian) Williams; many nieces and nephews.
