Cecelia “Sally” Whiting
Age 80 of Corunna passed away Friday, March 14, 2014 at Hurley Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 1pm Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor John Walworth officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 8pm.
Cecelia was born April 5, 1933 in Fenmore, Michigan, the daughter of Stephen and Anna (Benedict) Mokrany.
She married Cecil “Rocky” Whiting in Owosso on June 20, 1953; he predeceased her in 1992.
Cecelia was a past member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and retired in 1996 from General Motors after 43 years of service.
Cecelia loved technology and especially enjoyed staying in touch with friends and family via Facebook.
She is survived by her son Steve (Tracy) Whiting of Wentzville, MO; daughter Debora (Bob Morrison) Remo of Pompano Beach, FL; grandsons Alec and Brandon; granddaughter Dana; several special nieces and nephews and exceptional neighbors and friends.
Cecelia was predeceased by her husband Cecil, parents; brother Mike; sisters Mary Radosa, Ann Klasek and Pauline Ustishen.
