Francisco "Frank" Garcia, age 79, of Owosso, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
Born on January 4, 1947, in Sinton, Texas, Frank was the son of Alejandro and Josefita (Alaniz) Garcia. He attended St. Paul High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Army for two years.
Frank was a hardworking man who dedicated more than 35 years of service to Toledo Comm. He also worked for the City of Sinton, Texas, where he later retired. He took great pride in providing for his family.
Family was the center of Frank's life. He loved gathering with those he cared about, whether he was playing pool, sitting around the card table with family and friends, or cheering on his favorite sports teams with his boys. He was happiest with Spanish music playing, laughing, telling stories, spending time with his daughter. One of his greatest joys was watching his beloved "Cruzer" play baseball a pastime that always brought a smile to his face. His quick wit, sense of humor, and larger-than-life personality will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
On November 1, 2008, Frank married Connie Dodson, in Sinton, Texas. They shared many happy years together until Connie's passing on July 16, 2020.
Frank is survived by his children, Frank Garcia Jr., Lupe (Jennifer) Garcia, and Anita (Chris) Ott; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were a source of great pride and joy; his brothers, Santos (Felipa) Garcia, Ces (Arminia) Garcia, and Pete (Kim) Garcia; the mother of his children, Anita Garcia; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and cherished friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Connie Garcia; his son, Pike Garcia; his parents, Alejandro and Josefita Garcia; and his siblings, Benie, Juan, Johnny, and Virginia Garcia.
Frank's family will remember him for his strength, loyalty, unmistakable sense of humor, and the love he had for the people who meant the most to him. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter he inspired, and the many lives he touched throughout his 79 years.
